I have had a futon since my early 20s, which means that it is over 31 years old. But while the actual mattress still feels comfortable and firm, the frame has seen better days. So, when my oldest son decided to start adulting and purchased a townhouse, I told him that if he decided to take it, I would order him a new frame. To freshen it up, give the old girl a face-lift. This one by Kodiak was perfect. It was reasonably priced and looks great. It is a rich espresso brown color, very sleek and modern. It took my youngest son about 30 to 45 minutes to assemble. He said the directions were easy to follow. What I like about this frame is the ability to pull up the arms to form table trays. What a nice feature! Once assembled, it appears to be well made and sturdy. Guess what? The new frame makes the futon itself look brand new. The updated look is perfect for the new bachelor. It can be used in his “man-cave” as a sofa, and when he has company over, as a bed. I definitely recommend this frame.
