As other reviewers mentioned it’s difficult to assemble, but the chairs are really nice and sturdy once you get them together. Great value compared to other similar looking products!I NEVER write reviews. These are good chairs...solid wood, well manufactured, great packaging, good instruction, POOR finish. BUT you get GREAT solid wood well turned easily assemble well crafted seating!!! You can touch-up the finish. Buying more!!Update: okay, so I got ahead of myself and wrote the review before I completed assembly. Turns out they're not that EASILY assembled. Everything went great until I got to the last 4 bolts to attach the seat to the back. It couldn't be done, simply wasn't physically possible to line-up the seat holes to the leg. After reading reviews about difficult assembly I realized that the back legs ABSOLUTELY MUST be placed on the proper side. Yes, there's a specific side for those legs, they are not interchangeable, being identified as L or R might help OR you can look at the instructions closely. That little diagram that shows the leg with down arrow placed on the right side of the chair is important and exactly where it should be placed. I had mine reversed. Once I disassembled and switched sides, everything went together easily. They do get really scratched up during assembly as the finish is pretty lame but it's easily touched up and the chairs are nice for the price if you can persevere through assembly. One chair came with a hairline Crack when we tried to screw together it snapped. Called for a new piece and was told I would have to take both chairs apart to send back. Rediculouse. Just send a replacement piece for part that is broken. We love the look of these chairs. The instructions on assembly are garbage tho. Thankfully someone wrote a review, with great instructionsAs the other reviews, the instructions are horrific. Like just completely awful. The chairs on the other hand, are BEAUTIFUL. I bought my table and was hoping to find a chair to go with it and these are perfect. They are super comfortable and very sturdy. I am so very thankful for a previous review that explained alternative assembly directions. I am copying their instructions here because they are perfect. I assembled all 8 chairs like this and was done in no time!1. Assemble small legs to seat base. Crank down tight. (I added a dab of wood glue at the joint)2. Install long legs to seat base. Tighten enough to allow just a little play. (Leg with arrow sticker was right rear for me - they are different so make sure to get them right)3. Install the metal straps to seat base, lower position on long leg & together. Tighten with the fewest threads to keep them from falling out. (You want maximum play)4. Sit on the seat and straddle the back. (sitting helps start to even out the legs) Install the wooden back piece (arrow sticker pointed down) & metal straps with the upper bolts on the long legs. Use the play, or even take out the lower strap bolt on the long leg, to get the back piece bolts started. This is the hardest part, but WAY easier then doing it their way. (All the bolts should now be in)5. Put the chair on a flat surface and have someone sit on the chair and wiggle a bit to get all 4 legs even. Crank down the bolts that hold the long legs to the seat base. (weighting the chair during final tightening it key to getting all 4 legs even on the ground)6. Sit and straddle the back again. Crank down the remaining bolts starting with the upper ones that hold the back piece.Great chair. Bad instructions. Do not follow their order or you’ll really have to fight to get it together, and then the legs won’t sit evenly. I built 1 their way, fixed it, then did 5 my way. Try this:1. Crank down the remaining bolts starting with the upper ones that hold the back piece.Hope this helps. All of mine went together great doing it this way, and are rock solid.I ordered it used so I knew it could have marks and such on it which is fine but it arrived with the screws and pieces all loose in the box and a broken leg. It was broken where one of the screws needed to go at the top of the chair to put the back together.I really need the 6th chair so I won’t be returning it, I used a metal bracket and liquid nails to put that broken piece back on the leg. It’s not a strong fix but it’ll do. I wish someone had repackaged it better and checked the product/tried to fix that since it was an essential piece.Overall I love the look of these chairs and they’re very comfortable!Great but a little hard to assemble. This package didn't come with any instructions. It had a lot of hardware, zero instructions, and there were marking all over the pieces that made the product look damaged. It also had some sort of shiny overspray that went from the edges into the seat surface. I am frustrated and not impressed at all.Missing pieces, hard to assemble and came with scratches that where crayoned in with black marker! Horrible service when called to fix the issues. Do not recommend.Love these chairs, had problems putting one together because the holes didn't line up right.Very comfortable.
