I bought four of these stools for my basement bar. I've only had these for a few weeks, but I am very pleased with these stool so far.The overall quality is fantastic. All stools were well packaged and wrapped for shipping. I received two stools per box, but I suppose shipping techniques could vary. The frame is thick metal, it is painted well, and feels extremely solid. The wooden seat (I bought cherry) has a great color, the wood itself is nice and solid, and it feels comfortable during extended sitting. The stools swivel easily and sit on the floor without any wobble. The stools were very easy to put together. I found no instructions for assembly in the boxes, but as long as you think about how the stool needs to be put together first, you'll have no problems. The wooden stool bottom does not come pre-drilled for the mounting screws. It may not be necessary for you to pre-drill, but I did just to make sure the screws would go in completely straight and not accidentally split the wood in any places. One quirky thing is that the screws to attach the wooden stool bottom to the metal frame were not all packed in the same bag. 2 screws and other hardware were in one bag... and the 4 remaining screws needed were found in separate bags. It's a little odd, but not a deal breaker by any means.I searched everywhere for stools for my bar. Prices vary significantly. Based on everything that I saw in stores in my area, the quality and price of these stools can't be beat.
