I have had this for almost three years now in central Texas. I rigged it to hot and cold water, and have barely used my indoor shower ever since. Showering while a chirping bird lands nearby, while it is raining, or during most other variable happenings of the great outdoors is absolutely fantastic. Cleanliness next to godliness it is said. One of the floor boards rotted and broke, but that's probably because it didn't dry out since I hooked it up. Have since detached it from its base completely, and attached the upright part directly to a corner of my deck. The shower head and knob are plastic, but hold up well. All the hardware is stainless steel. I'd buy again. This outdoor shower was exactly what we wanted. The rain shower head worked great. And the teak (I think it was teak) was beautiful. My husband did brush on some polyurtethane to keep it from fading and to protect it. He knows what he is doing because he works for a manufacturer that produces the polyurethane. Not slippery at all.Looks great and we liked that we could move it to different locations until we found the perfect spot. My husband put it together by himself, so I can't comment on ease of putting it together. But I didn't hear any cursing, so that was a good sign!Researched this shower and it looked very nice, but other reviewers said that it leaked. Took the risk to buy 2; 1 as a gift. Quality wood and the base is very solid. So, during assembly I used white plumbers tape for every threaded connection. Very nice shower head with heavy rain flow pattern. Unfortunately, Part H leaked on both showers, even after tightening it very tightly. So I emailed customer support and they sent me 2 replacement Part H’s which looked exactly like the leaking part. I took the washer out of the leaking old Part H and added it (doubled it up) to the new Part H. I then tightened it again and hooray it didn’t leak. They didn’t need to send the entire Part H, but rather just an extra washer...The item looks really great out of the box however some of the plumbing needed o ring washers and the shower head seems to sway back and forth from the pipe. Buy o rings not rubber washers that are not included. We needed a simple to install shower to just do a quick rinse after swimming in the pool. We got a long hose so we get some warm water when we rinse. The sun warma the water in the hose.We couldn't find an outdoor shower that included a foot shower at a reasonable price, so we modified this one. Works great, looks great and suits our beachfront needs. We hard piped it, rather than running a hose. Spent about $50.00 in additional parts to add the foot shower, but worth it!Very nice shower ez to assemble.Easy to put together. Overall good product. Would like it to be a little heavier duty, but for the price it works great.
