This is a good looking sturdy chair. The wife loved it and it seems to be durable. As many have noted assembly is tricky, and the instructions don't help much. A few tips:- There are 2 different styles of legs (front and back). On mine, the base and the legs were labelled I1 and I2. Place close attention to getting these right. The pictures and instructions really don't help much.- For the legs only use 1 screw, not all the way tightened until you get the leg support bracket in place. Then go back and put in the other screw and tighten everything- You will save a lot of time if you have a powered screw driver with the same bit they provide. Tightening and loosening those screws can be laborious to get the correct fit. After you get everything together have a cold beer. You deserve it!I even bought one of the "used--very good" versions of this, and it seemed like the chair was brand new and the box was just damaged and put into another box for mailing. I saved a bunch of money by doing that. There were a couple of screws that didn't seem to be lined up well with the holes that were drilled for them in the metal, but I handled that by just putting each screw in a little bit at a time, then going around and screwing the others in a little bit more, working my way around until they were all done. The chair is adorable, quite comfy for a vanity chair, and looks great with my 1950's vanity. I'm happy! So I bought this chair to replace the one my wife had for many years. She watched me as I put it together and keep commenting how nice it looked. After I got it together I noticed that the legs on the back did not match up the welds were off sadly there’s no other way to put together to make it even I would like a replacement. This is sad the workmanship and craftsmanship on this particular chair is not what I would. So I bought this chair to replace the one my wife had for many years. This is sad the workmanship and craftsmanship on this particular chair is not what I would consider acceptable. I will be sending this one back in exchange for another one but what a waste of time for me to put it together only to find it unsatisfactory. See photos. Yes it was easy to put together no problems at all very comfortable seat just looks very uneven from the back in the frontNot easy to assemble. Things did not line up properly. It was all I could do to get the screws into place with the Allen wrench. I can’t get the back of the chair into the base. I pushed it in and it wouldn’t go all the way in but now I can’t get it out either. I can’t get the screws that hold the back on into the chair, because I can’t get the back piece pushed down far enough. It is a very cute chair. I like it. I just don’t feel like the assembly went like it should and I’m not satisfied that I cannot get the screws into the back piece to hold it securely. This is very nice looking and good quality for the price. Had a few issues putting it together, but did mange it by myself in less than an hour. Thought there were missing parts, but the very thin washers were just stuck together. Then discovered the legs have to go on a certain way to make it work. Would be nice if the legs were labeled which place to put them in. I'm heavy so worried whether it would be sturdy enough for me, but so far so good. I'm covering the seat with a towel to make it last longer as it is a suede type material and is light colored. This looks great with my antique cherry wood vanity. Seems very sturdy and am happy with it. It is not very comfortable to sit on for any length of time, but just use it while putting on makeup and doing my hair so it works fine for that. All in all - very happy with this vanity stool.I love this chair! It adds a classy, feminine touch to an otherwise boring vanity. It’s very sturdy, the metal is thick, and the cushion is the perfect thickness and firmness. One thing to note about assembly that will make it go much faster, is don’t tighten the screws all the way when you’re fastening the legs to the seat. Leave them loose until you attach the center piece to the legs. To get it to screw into the legs, they need to have some give in order to fit it inside. I had to mostly unscrew all 8 screws (which takes forever with the little Allen wrench), just to have to tighten them again; it was frustrating and added a lot of extra time to an already tedious assembly process. Overall though, I’m thrilled with the result and it was totally worth the time I spent.I purchased this chair to replace the stool that came with my new vanity. I've had 4 back surgeries (3 discs removed) and can only sit with lower back support & padding so I was looking for a chair that would match my black vanity and provide the support that I need hence my reason for choosing this chair. It only took me approx 30-45 minutes to put it together and it came with everything that you need including the Allen Wrench to tighten each bolt. The instructions are very easy to follow. The seating is padded very well and feels very comfortable. The chair is very sturdy and made of great quality. OVERALL: I'm very pleased with this purchase and think it goes quite well with my new vanity.Fairly easy to assemble. I didn’t give 5 stars bc my husband had to drill new holes to make it all line up correctly, as my chair had a defect. But overall, I like it.Really solid and well made. Great $ price for the quality. Great buy. Looks great.Beau produit et bonne qualité.Sturdy, attractive and easy to put together!a gift
